I bet $5 against Patrick that Real SL would win - not tie - so I got a little nervous in the 80th minute when the Revs scored their first goal. But then, like a Boss, Real scored again about one minute later. Patrick hadn't even finished gloating.
The game was a great time, and I received emails all week from friends in Salt Lake who saw us on the highlight reels. Keller thought I was holding a dude's hand, but I don't think the video substantiates that.

ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm pretty sure "gambling on soccer" is somewhere in the top ten list of signs you may have a gambling problem.
ReplyDeleteSecond, you have multiple friends who watch away game MLS highlight reels? Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm just saying.
Third, do you think you guys were featured so prominently in the highlights because you were the only group of fans that were actually paying attention to the game? I mean of the thirty fans in attendance, you're the only ones standing up. Or do you think it's because you're the only people who aren't blood relatives of the players?
Fourth, yes this is all just sour grapes because I wussed out and didn't go to the game with you guys.

What a great time.
Team Real truly rocks. They are the real deal this year. I may even become a soccer fan. I hate ties though. They really should change that.
